Workshops & Activities

We will be applying Rumi’s poetry to our lives and identifying connections between his work and the inspiration that he got from the Quran.

You will be guided through a healing circle to connect with your heart.

There will be a workshop that ties the wisdom of Salaah with the emotional release our bodies go through when engaging in breath and movement work.

Introspection and self reflection give us insight into our deeper selves which is more vast that anything the eyes can see and we will access this by submerging ourselves into periods of silence.

To truly embrace our lived reality we must become mindful and we will tie in the wisdom from Rumi and the Quran on how to achieve that by mastering patience.

Kinship and our tribes aid our survival, physically, emotionally and spiritually by providing a net and network of rich and diverse individuals. We will cultivate our community through exercises that genuinely bond us.

Inclusivity

At Sukun, we prioritize creating a safe haven for all participants. Our retreat is founded on principles of inclusivity, fostering a strong sense of community, and cultivating genuine friendships. We believe in providing a secure space where everyone feels welcomed to express themselves freely.

This supportive environment is carefully designed to facilitate healing, allowing individuals to embrace their journey without judgment or reservation. Sukun is more than a retreat; it's a sanctuary where participants can authentically explore their path to healing, knowing they are surrounded by a community that values and uplifts each unique individual.

In our upcoming workshops, we'll focus on the transformative essence of Rumi. It's a time for healing and self-care, providing a unique opportunity for improvement in physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. Let's embark on this journey together towards holistic betterment.

Prayer Arrangements

Ustadh Zain will play a pivotal role, leading every prayer and adhaan, fostering a spiritually enriching atmosphere. Participants will have time to read the Qur’an and reflection and discussion sessions. It's an opportunity for spiritual refinement and growth.
